Fred S. Kleiner, Ph.D. has been Professor of Art History and Archeology at Boston University for four decades. He taught previously at University of Virginia and served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Archaeology. Acclaimed for inspiring lectures, Dr. Kleiner won Boston University's Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching, the College Prize for Undergraduate Advising in the Humanities and the Distinguished Teaching Prize in the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London as well as the Text and Academic Authors Association. In addition to this title, Dr. Kleiner authored several editions of ART THROUGH THE AGES: A CONCISE HISTORY (Cengage), A HISTORY OF ROMAN ART (Cengage), and more than 100 publications on Greek and Roman art and architecture. Dr. Kleiner earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University.

If you hate yourself and want to suffer, this is the textbook for you. It is rich in details and pictures though.

Great book, but the MindTap app is not included though the product description and extensive publisher promotional materials on the page seem to indicate that it is. Buy elsewhere and be sure you are getting the app, as many of the photos in this book are reduced to the point of uselessness and you'll need the app to see them.

This was supposed to have an access code with it so I could access MindTap as well. It did not come with it. Don't be fooled by all that you read in the discription. I thought it was a complete set, especially for the price I paid. I started my class yesterday and I am disappointed with this purchase.

This book was required for my Survey of Art History class. I did enjoy the reading though. It was an easy read given the fact that it was in textbook form. The author does an excellent of keeping you interested throughout each chapter.

The book was helpful. No pages missing and all context was accounted for. It did have a stell cigarette odor when i first received it but other than that the book was fine.

Worked well for my wife's art class.

Not for women over 60,or size over 16. I found her advice geared to women who work in an office in the northern part of the country. Wearing a leather or faux-leather jacket, no matter how cute, is impossible in the summer unless perhaps you live in Alaska. 3 inch heels shown with most of her outfits would be torture all day unless perhaps you sit at a desk . After a certain age, most women enjoy a permanent tropical internal temperature and wearing 3 layers is not going to work out well.

This book has some good and valuable information as well as some nice examples, but it's just very light overall. I'm not saying it's not a good attempt, as I can imagine how challenging it would be to make a longer/larger book with a lot more examples and information, but that's what I feel I need. Granted the price is small, but I don't feel like I gained much from the book overall. For example, when she talks about how important jeans fit is, I found myself nodding in agreement, but the overall direction on how to find the right fit felt vague and unsatisfactory at helping me in any tangible way find the right pair of jeans for my silhouette. I did love the emphasis on looking at our own closets and being courageous about creating new outfits by switching pieces around a bit, but more examples would have been much appreciated.

I so enjoyed this author’s third book. It is of course an excellent style resource for curvy women but it also provides a wealth of very practical ideas on improving your style. I loved these simple tweaks and suggestions that can be easily made with what you already own or without spending a ton of money to update your closet. My favorite section? I absolutely loved the mind, body, and soul connection to style. Truly inspiring!Kate

What a terrific book! So many useful and creative ways to put together outfits from clothing already in your closet. This author, along with her other books, makes it so fun and easy!! I especially love that she used real models with real issues to profile. I appreciate how there are multiple ideas shown for combining outfits. After reading this book, I look at my closet with renewed passion. Super inspiring!I highly recommend getting this book!

A little disappointing, I’m afraid. Not much new that I haven’t heard before. Some of the outfits are frankly not that flattering.

What a spectacular book! I enjoyed this author’s third book so much! It is by far my favorite book of hers! I loved that she used real models with real bodies that I can relate too. I am curvy and have come across many challenges of making outfits but this book gives great insight on how to dress and feel confident in my personal style right from the clothes in her models closets. Her models were actually women who she worked with and used their clothes from their closet to make outfits.She talks about mindset; the mind, body and spirit connection to style. You can feel fabulous and save time and energy in your personal style. It was a bonus to receive new shopping resources dedicated to the curvy body. This book is packed with advice and doable steps that gave me inspiration to go through my own closet and play with the clothes and accessories I have. The author has a level of mastery and expertise that is unmatched. Highly recommend checking out this book.
