Best purchase I've made in a long time. Having recently bought and moved into our first home, we had no idea how to reclaim our lawn from the weeds that were everywhere. This book helped us learn so much about lawn care in general, as well as how to take care of the pesky weeds. Full of a lot of very useful information, and very well organized!!
This was a good starter book. I actually did a few things with my yard as a result and my grass looks good. Attached are before and after pics of some landscaping i did because this book explained in laymens terms what I needed to do
I was disappointed with this purchase. It is a pretty basic book (to the point of merely stating the obvious) for the most part. The examples only applied to the US climate. The illustrations are only black and white and the photos of poor quality (blurry and faded). In fact, even the paper is very thin and cheap. It falls far behind the quality of other “....for dummies » books that I have read.
I learned a lot and successfully used this book as a guide to kill off and re-seed an entire large yard.The new yard came out fantastic and totally weed free. Just don't take shortcuts. Be ready to spend money and work hard.
